NON-RENEWAL OF A MONTH TO MONTH LEASE 15 DAY
NOTICE REQUIREMENTS
Tenants:
Name all persons named on the lease and any others who you know to be
residing in the subject premises. Do not name minors.
Timing:
The notice must be delivered fifteen (15) days before the end of a monthly
rental period. I.e. if the monthly rental period starts on the first day
of the month through to the last day of the month, you must deliver the
notice 15 days before the end of the month. If the rental period is from
the fifteenth to the fifteenth you must deliver the notice by the last
day of the month prior to the one in which the lease will terminate i.e.
January 31 to be effective Febuary 15. February 13 to be effective Febuary
28. If you do not serve the notice at least fifteen days priod to the
end of a monthly rental period, you have to terminate the tenancy at the
end of the NEXT rental period.
If Mailed:
Be sure the receipt shows delivery fifteen days before the end of the
monthly rental period.
